ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women diagnosed with breast cancer ages 40 and under. It is YSC's goal that no young woman is left to face breast cancer alone. With 25 affiliates in addition to its New York City headquarters and a staff of 25 nationwide, YSC provides education and support to young women diagnosed with breast cancer. For more information visit POSITION OVERVIEW: This position will support the day-to-day operations of the organization. It requires an ability to work collaboratively with the entire YSC staff while at the same time be self-directed. The position requires the ability to think creatively and balance competing demands. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional communication and time management skills and be genuinely committed to the mission of YSC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist YSC staff with general administrative support including filing, mail, invoices, etc. - Office management duties include ordering of equipment and office supplies, office equipment maintenance, liaison to building management, liaison to outside vendors - Inventory tracking and merchandise order fulfillment - Office front desk reception including greeting guests, answering phones and checking general email boxes - Provide backup support to VP of Programming and Director of Development as needed, ie.
