Appeal Management Coordinator
Basic Function
To provide support to the appeals department by following Executive Health Resource's internal procedure in order to process appeals throughout the lifecycle of a client case. The appeal management coordinator will interact with clients as needed in order to efficiently manage the case.
Job Responsibilities
Following established Executive Health Resource's internal procedure
Processing cases and payer responses
Communicating with clients
Proactively prioritizing workload, as an individual and as a collaborative team member, in order to complete all job responsibilities and meet all departmental accountabilities, as documented in the department’s current “Performance Expectations"
Following and completing department processes in order to maintain accurate and current open and closed reports for each client
Proactively identify and reporting to the supervisor any case at risk for missing a deadline, dismissed at any level by a payer or with any type of issue
Establishing and maintaining collaborative, efficient and productive working relationships with colleagues and client representatives
Communicating with client-designated representatives as needed to proactively identify and resolve client issues
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information entered into the Company’s database
Assistng in the identification and correction of inaccurate and incomplete information
Actively participating in the orientation of new staff members
Requirements:
Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Skills
Demonstrates strong, effective verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficient, with strong typing skills (experience with word processing, excel spreadsheets, and clinical information systems preferred)
Ability to establish priorities, be self-motivated, work independently, and follow instructions with supervision and structure
Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to function as a collaborative team member
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
Understands and complies with HIPAA confidentiality requirements
