Appeal Management Coordinator

Basic Function


To provide support to the appeals department by following Executive Health Resource's internal procedure in order to process appeals throughout the lifecycle of a client case.  The appeal management coordinator will interact with clients as needed in order to efficiently manage the case. 


 


Job Responsibilities



  • Following established Executive Health Resource's internal procedure

  • Processing cases and payer responses

  • Communicating with clients

  • Proactively prioritizing workload, as an individual and as a collaborative team member, in order to complete all job responsibilities and meet all departmental accountabilities, as documented in the department’s current “Performance Expectations"

  • Following and completing department processes in order to maintain accurate and current open and closed reports for each client

  • Proactively identify and reporting to the supervisor any case at risk for missing a deadline, dismissed at any level by a payer or with any type of issue

  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative, efficient and productive working relationships with colleagues and client representatives

  • Communicating with client-designated representatives as needed to proactively identify and resolve client issues

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information entered into the Company’s database

  • Assistng in the identification and correction of inaccurate and incomplete information

  • Actively participating in the orientation of new staff members



Requirements:

Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm


 


Skills



  • Demonstrates strong, effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer proficient, with strong typing skills (experience with word processing, excel spreadsheets, and clinical information systems preferred)

  • Ability to establish priorities, be self-motivated, work independently, and follow instructions with supervision and structure

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to function as a collaborative team member

  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues

  • Understands and complies with HIPAA confidentiality requirements


 


Education/Experience


4 year college degree preferred
