Description
The purpose of this job is to support Geography Managers in managing the relationship with the outsourcing provider to ensure efficiency and consistency within offices. Responsiblities include managing vendor relationships, evaluating facilities and equipment needs across geographic regions and making the appropriate recommendations to fulfill those needs, assessing business resiliency procedures and ensuring they are aligned with national standards, partnering with various business lines by providing insight and input into defining the project budgets, utilizing project management skills to achieve project deliverables and timelines. Provide full management oversight for a staff of 1 - 13 Administrative Assistants as well as indirectly managing up to 50 outsources employees across the market.
Responsibilities include:
Geography management
In support of geography managers:
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency, including core work processes and workflow, cost and quality, and efficiency and consistency, to improve service delivery, cost, and quality * Monitor implementation and communication of business resiliency procedures within assigned markets/offices. * Implement and coordinate operational and process changes * Coordinate implementation of approved equipment solutions * Adhere to cost containment and expense controls * Respond to local and market requests within established timeframes
Project management
In support of GP&A and its geography managers:
* Ensure compliance with records management, retention, and file disposal standards within assigned markets as required by GP&A leadership and mandated by MMC Legal * Partner with GP&A BRM lead to ensure plan content is up to date, posted in timely manner, and maintained regularly on an ongoing basis * Collaborate on multiple projects and assist with delivery on priorities
Has full authority for people management of at least two people including:
* Assigning, directing, and evaluating work * Hiring, disciplining and firing employees * Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions * Approving salary and bonus actions * Ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training * May manage office outsourcing team and train outsourced employees
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience equaling five years in a corporate office or professional services firm * Previous management experiences with a proven ability to mentor, develop, and build a collaborative and customer-oriented team * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build credibility and gain confidence in a fast-passed, team environment * Analytical skills and demonstrates problem-solving capabilities * A proven supporter and adapter to all aspects of change management, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities * Demonstrated diplomacy in dealings with service areas, consultants, vendors and clients * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Takes initiative and is self-motivated * Proven project management and time-management skills * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Access, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Proven ability to utilize Mercer e-Connect as a project management tool * Utilization of MMC Office Communicator for internal same-time messaging
