SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:



As a claim support specialist, you will assist claims representatives and managers in Auto Department by performing administrative duties.



PRIMARY DUTIES:



Provide administrative assistance by typing, handling telephone calls, transcribing statements, copying, filing and performing other duties, as assigned.



Maintain and manage activity reports and complete monthly reports as necessary.



File, retrieval and transmission of files, scan, photocopy and type, as requested.



Prepare closed files for shipping and storage as needed.



Maintain up to date files, attaching correspondence as needed.



Serve as customer service contact in order to give, receive, or exchange information.



WORK EXPERIENCE:



Knowledge of claim support functions, including data entry, is preferred.



COMMUNICATION SKILLS:



Excellent oral and written communication skills required both for the purposes of requesting and providing routine data to and from multiple sources. Discretion required regarding personal and confidential information.



OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:



Must possess working knowledge of basic computer software such as Excel and Word



Must be able to type 35 wpm accurately



Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs



Analytical Skills:



Problem solving generally defined, but may need to be clarified in order to proceed.



Collecting, compiling and organizing facts and figures in accord with established procedures.
