Currently we are seeking individuals for the following position:
Clerical Office Specialist
This position is located in the DTE Energy Customer Service organization at the Kentwood Center in Grand Rapids, MI.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides multi-faceted technical and administrative support for the organization/business unit relating to the implementation of new programs, initiatives, or business process related solutions.
Advanced technical skills are utilized to develop databases, web sites, spreadsheets and presentational materials according to Company standards.
Responsible for creating and maintaining departmental databases, spreadsheets and presentations. Creates and maintains reports from project plans, using project management tools such as MS Project. Provides administrative and technical application support on special programs/projects related to the business unit. This includes gathering, analyzing and summarizing business information to create a variety of custom reports and/or presentations.
Performs research and analysis utilizing Internet/Intranet skills.
Creates/updates departmental web pages.
Acts as communications liaison between Business Unit Management and Project Managers.
Manages multiple electronic calendars and serves as focal point for all departmental communications.
Serves as liaison to LAN Manager. May assist with the implementation and rollout of corporate applications.
Provides administrative support such as maintaining confidential files, payroll, and personnel information/reports.
Processes expense reimbursements, coordinates and schedules meetings, etc. Resolves and/or delegates issues related to internal/external inquiries.
Skills Required to be considered:
Must attain a "Recommended" score on Support and Administrative Selection (SASS) test
Minimum of five 5 years of broad administrative experience including office coordination, personnel/time management.
Advanced user knowledge of PC applications software spreadsheets, multi-media presentations, database managers, word processing, etc. Able to use project planning tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate applications such as business expense reporting, time reporting, materials management procurement, personnel record and report management.
Familiarity with designing and updating web pages desirable.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to be able to formulate both formal and informal presentations and lead and facilitate meetings.
Able to analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations.
Ability to work effectively both independently, and as a member of a project team.
Strong time management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to be flexible, multi-task, set and change priorities, meet deadlines, and exhibit initiative to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED
