EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY!

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Federal and State Returns for form and subsidiaries on CCH Prosystems (approximately 15 returns in total)
• Review of book fixed asset records, and maintenance of tax fixed asset records
• Review of apportionment schedules prepared by US business unit and utilization of same schedules in preparation of state tax returns.
• Prepare estimated income tax payment computations
• Prepare accrual to return analysis and assist in FAS 109 and Fin 48 tax accounting
• Prepares and analyzes accounting and tax records, reports and files
• Maintains tax calendar
• Prepare annual reports and personal property tax reports where required
• Review Form 90.22, Annual Report of Foreign Bank Accounts.
• Review IRS Forms 5471 for all foreign subsidiaries
• Prepare Forms 5500 for the company’s 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan and Health and Life Benefits Plan and review plan testing results for the plan
• Reconcile income tax accounts each month
• Maintenance of tax credit and carryforward schedules
• Record and maintain copies of foreign income tax filings and obtain copies of returns for files.
• Perform tax research on US  and international tax issues to identify tax saving opportunities

Qualifications

• Four years of corporate tax accounting and tax compliance experience in either public accounting or in the manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or Tax,  Masters degree preferred
• Strong experience in use of CCH Prosystem tax preparation software
• Experience with CCH and BNA Tax research materials
• Experience in supervising direct reports
