Demand Planner (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This demand planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with assigned product lines and markets. This includes utilizing historical and current trends, statistical analysis and qualitative data to derive a style level demand forecast. Coordinate gathering of input from business partners for consideration in improving product level forecasts with a key focus on new products. Develop a detailed understanding of the seasonal line, expected SKU level unit drivers and potential areas of risk/opportunity. Manage the weekly and monthly forecast, working collaboratively across functions to better understand and account for changes in qualitative inputs in an effort to increase forecast accuracy. Work proactively with regional merchants and sales planners, assisting in the early establishment of pattern level forecasts throughout the development of the seasonal line. Coordinate with value chain and commercial team to drive improvement and fulfillment of inventory positions with a key focus on core products and critical new programs. Support the demand planning process by providing data analytics and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level: Bachelor's degree, B.A. in Business or a related field
Industry/Functional Experience: 3+ years relevant business experience;
Other: Proficient in MS Excel; Reporting, analytics and problem solving skills; Familiarity with order and inventory management applications and processes; Knowledge of retail industry and trends helpful; Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Experience working in a cross-functional setting; Self-directed and able to work independently.
