POSITION SUMMARY:
This position serves as the executive assistant to the National Managing Partner of the Transaction Advisory Services practice in the Chicago office, and provides administrative support to the Chicago TAS practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides general administrative support (type correspondence, schedule appointments, copying, faxing) for the TAS National Managing Partner, partners and directors.
- Use Excel and MS Word extensively to prepare professional documents including letters, memos.
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint mandatory in assisting in preparation of reports and proposals for clients.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Outlook to maintain electronic calendars and contacts. Plan and set up meetings and teleconferences, internally and externally.
- Ability to understand and edit engagement related correspondence such as engagement, access and release letters
- Interact with corporate travel group to coordinate travel arrangements and prepare itineraries.
- Ability to work with internal systems to update marketing contacts, run sales reports and operational reports.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of client personnel and client service personnel.
- Understand and anticipate customer service needs and administrative needs and delivers high quality service and results.
- Flexible to handle other projects, sometimes on short notice.
- Understand the Firm's service lines, industries and client engagement structure in order to work effectively with all levels of employees and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum five to seven years administrative support experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Preference to experience in M&A services, investment banking, CPA firm or legal services environment.
- Must possess high school degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Advanced skill level in PowerPoint and Word.
- Proficient skill level Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Transaction Advisory Services helpful but not required.
- Must have experience interacting with multiple partners and managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Treats sensitive/confidential information with appropriate discretion.
