HUMAN RESOURCES/OPERATIONS ASSISTANT--Part-Time

Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) is a comprehensive child and family services agency which helps more than 16,000 children and families every year and is consistently rated at the highest levels for the quality of our programs.


 


We currently seek a P/T Human Resources /Operations Assistant to provide Human Resources support in all functional areas of the Human Resources department. The HROA has basic knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources field and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The HROA is also responsible for responding to basic employee questions and inquiries about employee benefit programs and human resources policies; prepares appropriate basic documentation and processes accompanying paperwork. The HROA works under immediate supervision.


 


ESSENTIAL TASKS:           



  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department with recruitment, personnel records and organization of training and development programs

  • Provide support by answering phones, distributing mail, making copies, sending fax and scanning

  • Assist in other departmental and organizational projects as needed and as assigned.

  • Support Human Resources department in data entry to maintain human resources information systems


 



 



Requirements:


  • College credits toward an Associate’s degree or in related field

  • Minimum of 2 years in Human Resources or related area.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft applications

  • Capable of clear , direct communication with others ( verbal, written)

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • High-energy team player with follow-up and customer service skills
