We currently have the following opportunity available:
DescriptionManager of Merchandise Operations
* Oversees the overall activities of the Merchandise Support Department consisting of Merchandise Assistants, Planning Assistants and a Supervisor
* Acts as a liaison between Merchandising and various support departments to resolve business and personnel issues
* Manages staffing, associate relations, training and career development for associates in the department
* Monitors purchase order volume and manages shifting priorities of the business to determine the need for overtime and temporary help to maintain established standards of productivity
* Works with the Merchant team to expedite projects and special requests along with communicating high-level problems to Merchandising as required
* Evaluates departmental procedures and systems and acts as a liaison with merchandising to resolve process issues and correct the process.
* Special projects as assigned
* Previous experience managing an hourly staff in a production oriented environment
* Strong managerial, coaching and development skills with the ability to build effective teams
* Strong analytical and organizational skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels from hourly up to senior management
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities
* General knowledge of distribution centers and merchandise and planning procedures in a retail environment preferred.
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
