Manager - Special Accounting Operations
The Manager of Special Accounting Operations is responsible formanaging a team having responsibility for a range of technical accounting areas under both US GAAP and IFRS including accounting for share based payments and restructuring activities as well as overseeing impairment ist in the preparation and review of whitepapers to document accounting conclusions as required. Review journal entries and account reconciliations in support of monthly/quarterly close process. Oversee the preparation of reports and supporting schedules for monthly/quarterly reporting. Assist in review of financial related SEC documents (Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.). Assist in preparation and review of US GAAP and IFRS financial statement disclosures. Assist in SOX compliance, including documentation and testing as required. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements including documentation and testing as required. Manage professional staff and facilitate projects with larger team in Corporate Accounting. Support external audit and review procedures. Handle special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, if no Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, must have Master's degree in Finance or Accounting • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent • Minimum of 7-10 years of combined public accounting (Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred) and industry accounting experience • Significant overtime required at quarterly and year-end closes • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance • Experience with SAP and Hyperion • Excellent overall business acumen • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams • Strong leadership and problem solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent technical accounting and analytical skills • Ability to interact with and present to senior management • Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
