Job Description: Mechanical Engineer - Saudi Arabia
Our client is currently recruiting for aMechanical Engineer. This role is based inRiyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering department manager, this position is primarily site-based. This position requires the successful candidate to monitor all assigned areas and maintain a high-profile presence with the contractors, particularly with the mechanical contractors.
Responsibilities: * Monitor safety on site * Interface on all matters regarding Mechanical installations and processes with respect to the overall project and to the particular the areas that are assigned * Monitor all information provided by the sub-contractors and design team to ensure it is up-to-date and done in a timely manner * Interface between the Specialist Mechanical contractors and the Project Managers/Site Managers * Strict monitoring of site progress against agreed programs * Compiling a weekly status report for all matters arising on site * Retaining and recording a set of marked up red line drawings for all areas * Resolve any issues on site which may affect the progress of the specialist contractors * Meet with Building Control during inspections specific to Mechanical * Attendance at internal Mechanical department meetings * Inspection of installed services for installation quality and workmanship * Interface with the Quality Department on all building services matters * Ensure that prior to ceilings, walls, etc. being closed that the contractor has recorded the installed services accurately * Inspection of all installed services to verify services are in line with IFC drawings * Observe site tests and sign recorded results * Delivery of the final tested system in line with the agreed testing and commissioning program and tracking matrix * Interface with the Independent tester/ for final sign off on all systems The ideal candidate will have approximately 15 years of experience.
