Operations Assistant
|
| The Operations Assistant is responsible for performing of a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks associated with the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of the gas system. The Operations Assistant will work under the direction of a tradesperson, as well as perform independent work assignments. Assignments may vary with location. Position Responsibilites Operate and service vehicles less than 12,000 G.V.W. for transporting equipment and materials. Operate equipment for trenching, laying and repairing pipe, and backfilling trenches, snow removal, vegetation control, site leveling etc. Assist assigned tradespersons with the maintenance and repair of regulator stations, gas production and transmission lines, and other gas system facilities. Assist assigned tradespersons with the operation, maintenance and repair of compressor drives, compressors and other associated plant, process and transmission line facilities. Assist with assembly and disassembly of mechanical components and pipe fittings. Perform assignments such as rough carpentry, painting and weed control. Locate distribution lines after completing the SaskEnergy Line Locating Course. Operations Assistants will not locate transmission lines. Comply with all Corporate health and safety policies and procedures. **You are required to have a valid class 5 driver's License (Please attach a copy with your application)**
