Description Position Summary:IFCS currently has a Client Records Associate position open in the Piedmont region located in Gastonia, North Carolina. The CRA main responsibilities include compiling, verifying, typing, and filing client records within the region.
IFCS is a CABHA approved agency.
Key Responsibilities:• Maintains patient files by timely filing and updating of records. Files patient data upon receipt of information; initiates records for new patients and creates computer index. Prepares file labels and maintains and audits filing sequence.
• Assists in copying and distribution of record information per policy. Sends and receives information via facsimile machine.
• Maintains forms supply, including packet preparation.
• Reviews clinical documentation prepared by program staff to ensure that timecard and clinical documentation coincide and ensures accuracy of all data. Provides appropriate and timely follow-up and tracking as needed.
• Forwards appropriate documents and information to other program staff upon request and as needed.
• Keeps supervisor informed of problems or issues.
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Skill to demonstrate mastery of Microsoft Word and Excel and other software packages.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
• 1 year of previous experience in an equivalent position preferred.
