Northwest Youth Corps offers 5-week programs for 16-19 year olds that teach youth life and job skills they will use for the rest of their lives AND provides an adventure that they will never forget. As a Conservation Crew Member, you will travel and explore a variety of remote and scenic areas of Idaho for five weeks. Hike in, set up camp, and get the outdoor experience. You and your crew will travel hundreds, if not thousands of miles, exploring and helping various ecosystems. You will make a local impact by completing high priority conservation projects. Under the supervision and instruction of highly trained crew leaders, you will build hiking trails, restore native plant species and habitat, and help preserve beautiful wilderness spaces. While working on a team, you will develop leadership skills, build confidence, and have fun. But its not all work: weekend recreation trips bring teams together to explore the most beautiful spots around Idaho. Youth can earn up to $1,225 (tax-exempt), receive school credit, and get experience that looks good on a college application or resume.
