Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
The Business Area We are looking for an organized, driven Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full time position in our Chicago office. Are you someone who is able to juggle and resolve insurmountable day-to-day administrative challenges with busy executives and impatient customers? Are you excited at the prospect of joining an energetic, international, technology-driven business in the education industry?
The Role Our Administrative Assistant plays both an internal and an external role in the company. Yes, we need you to operate as a receptionist for some percentage of the time, but we are also looking for an experienced work-flow manager who can coordinate between the Chicago office and other offices world-wide, who will help us provide exemplary customer service and have the capacity to help juggle the schedules of our busy executives, manage bookings and expense reports.
· Must be able to take minimal direction and act intuitively · Have the ability to work quickly, efficiently and independently · Support busy senior executives · Arrange associated business travel and submit expense reports · Support business operation team generally, including chief-of-staff, operations, marketing and accounting managers · Assist in on-boarding new hires · Perform receptionist duties, including greeting visitors and accepting shipments · Maintenance and upkeep of office conference rooms, and office supply inventory · Coordinate issues arising out of day-to-day operations Requirements

· Minimum of 3 years administrative assistant experience in high-growth, technology oriented business · Familiarity with communication technology webex, video- and audio conferencing · Must adapt to new technology on a rolling basis · Basic knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and Outlook on an Apple and Windows platform · Must demonstrate ability to complete projects with detail and accuracy · Experience with booking travel (international and domestic) · Experience with managing multiple calendars · Must be flexible to changes in daily duties · Must have strong organizational and communication skills
Experience: Two or more years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
