Public Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Consultant based out of our Boston, MA office to serve as a key player in achieving business objectives within our Educational Services practice area. In general a Senior Consultant plays a part in the consulting practices and operations projects. In theconsulting practice, they represent an area of expertise essential to one or more PCG product lines. He/she will manage complex projects and/or produce sophisticated deliverables for a number of different projects. Their experience and established knowledge of the product lines allows them to train and supervise staff, work independently with minimal supervision, serve as an internal consultant to other projects or product lines. A Senior Consultant plays an essential role in writing proposals and sales presentations and represents PCG at conferences. Inoperations projects, Senior Consultants oversees substantial projects involving multiple staff and complex operations. They are often the primary point of client contact and are responsible for managing most deliverables and services. Overall, Senior Consultants are essential to a product line and have significant practice development responsibilities within the firm. This person will also serve as role models for consultants, business analysts, and administrative staff, always employing sound business and professional judgment in their activities.
Required Skills
* Strong quantitative skills and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data. * Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations. * Ability to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results. * Ability to work effectively with all members of project teams. * Outstanding oral and written presentation skills. * Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities. * Is viewed as an "expert" in their technical ability and able to train others. * Ability to manage and present data in MS Excel, MS Word and other software. Required Experience
* Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree highly preferred. * 2 years of previous supervisory experience. * At least 7 years of client/project management experience working with data and technology, preferably within a for-profit industry.
