W-2 position working exclusively with one client (large financial services firm) in NYC. The person should be a career consultant someone who has spent their entire career with a consulting company(listed below). The person should be a principal consultant, senior consultant, managing principal level. 15-20 years of experience in the retail banking (technology solutions) domain. They will be a subject matter expert in the retail banking technology space.

Target companies

TCS, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, E&Y, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Diamond Advisory services, Tower group, or any consulting company that focus on technology. The person should be 70 percent technology and 30 percent relationship building capable. Salary open.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Interact with CIO, CTO, Managing Director level executives to understand their business & technology challenges and map them to capabilities to come up with best of breed solutions
Sell new service offerings and solutions to the client cluster in order to achieve this. WiN need to understand company methodology, delivery process as well as the details of the company's service offerings. Will need to work with Solutions Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to achieve goals with efficacy.
Establish new client relationships and build on existing relationships with key decision makers and ensure that existing clients are highly satisfied.
Must be able to establish and build "trust" and leverage client context by understanding client's overall business goals.
Be able to position consulting company as a Strategic IT partner and identify avenues for consulting company to implement IT solutions.
The candidate will be a strong Banking SME who has spent considerable (15+ years) in the Banking sector having provided solutions or as part of the Technology organization in a bank more specifically in the applications space.
This person will interact with "C" level executives on the IT and business sides of the clients business and will ultimately be viewed as a strategic advisor to the client. Strong Banking and Financial services experience combined with solving technology challenges in the Global Delivery Model is key.


Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (MBA) is a must; advanced degree desirable.
Minimum 15 years of experience in IT Services or Banking industry
15 - 20 years in F/S mixed breed 
Should have exposure and understanding of the Global Delivery Model


Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Have strong financial domain knowledge. Work experience either in a Bank or a Consulting organization providing services to a Bank is a must
Banking SME knowledge specific to Retail Banking, Consumer Banking, Asset Management and Securities Services.
Evidence of team building and leadership experience.
Excellent management skills with thorough knowledge of all areas of business operations.
Thorough knowledge of strategic and operational planning.
Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills.
