RESPONSIBILITES:
* Directs the Tax Dept. to ensure clients’ tax liabilities are reported properly and paid on time
* Maintains the tax payment system for program development, enhancements and governmental tax law changes
* Plans, Develops and implements policies and procedures to facilitate the accurate and efficient reporting and payment of our clients’ tax liabilities
* Keeps abreast of all payroll tax law changes and communicates these changes to our internal and external customers
* Provides complete customer service coverage regarding phone inquiries, faxes and tax notice resolution within the required service level agreements
* Supervises tax department staff in accordance with Ahola’s policies and guidelines
* Responsible for training of new employees in the payroll tax processing functions
* Annually evaluates and reviews individual performance, sets goals and projects for the future needs of the department
* This working position’s responsibilities will include daily, quarterly and year end payroll tax payment duties along with clients’ power of attorney, EFTs, tax impounds and tax tables for federal, state, local and school district withholding in the Generation’s Payroll System
* Suggest procedural and technological changes to improve upon our internal processes
* Coordinates the updating of all client tax frequencies, identification numbers and tax rates
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 5 years of general payroll experience with 3 years in a payroll tax department
* Must be at least intermediate and preferably advanced in MS Excel, Word & Outlook
* Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Customer Service experience and/or training preferred.
