Position: Web Portal Administrator – Business Analyst classification
Our technology team is searching for a ambitious Web Portal Administrator / Business Analyst to help manage our new and innovate B2B web portal. The main responsibilities of the Web Portal Administrator will be, Product Development and coordination, portal administration, and administration of our family of web-based data analysis products.
Within these core responsibility sets, our Portal Admin will:
- Facilitate development of our core products and services
- Lead content and data collection efforts and it with the integration of data and content into our products.
- Ensure quality system design and requirements reflect real world business processes.
- Model and prototype user interfaces based on collected requirements, data, and test cases.
- Manage content based B2B web-based products
- Oversee B2B communities and knowledge directories
- Conduct ongoing user analyses
- Define custom portal membership roles
- Create workflow and content management standards
- Some Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Monitor and Administer site traffic and usage functionality.
We are especially interested in hiring someone who stays up to date with prevailing user interface design trends and usability concepts. Someone who is a strong willed communicator will be required to escalate key business issues quickly to the appropriate resolution channel.
Requirements:Requirements and Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience gathering, organizing and synthesizing requirements and summarizing key findings for consumption by our development teams.
- Strong experience with web publishing/authoring and content management.
- A college degree or certificate in a field that requires strong Analytical Skills such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc
- Experience using MS Excel and MS Visio for data aggregation, formatting and modeling.
- Strong problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge of search engine strategies, techniques, and best practices.
- Social Media experience (blogging, Twitter, Facebook, RSS feeds and other Web 2.0 trends)
- Strong written and Oral communication skills
