A/P Specialist

Description

We have partnered with a growing manufacturer on their search for a self-motivated A/P Specialist. The responsibilities for this role will consist of reviewing/processing vendor invoices, verifying and updating vendor accounts, processing/coding general ledger transactions, assisting with payment runs, analyzing accounts payable transactions for accuracy, preparing documents for audits, and resolving accounts payable discrepancies. Ideally, we are seeking an individual who can perform day to day financial transactions utilizing their knowledge of best practices in accounting and bookkeeping.

How you will make an impact

• Analyze and review invoices

• Code general ledger activities

• Ensure compliance with all AP activities/transaction

• Account Reconciliation

• Assist with month end reporting

• Reconcile vendor statements

• Vendor Maintenance

• Reconcile monthly credit card statements

• Assist purchasing department as needed

• Investigate and resolve A/P discrepancies

Requirements

The ideal A/P Specialist will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce or Business Management Administration.

Other requirements for the A/P Specialist role include and are not limited to:

• 2+ years of A/P experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Strong Excel

• SAP preferred

• Organized with a high level of attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills
