    Position Description

    • Work with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    • Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.

    • Receive, process, and reconcile statements.

    • Prepare monthly financial statements.

    • Generate and review monthly reports.

    • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports, making corrections as needed.

    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

    • Track and maintain bank account and credit card activity.

    • Cost Analysis.

    • Prepare and make bank deposits.

    • Assist with preparation for annual audits.

    • Prepare and distribute annual IRS forms.

    • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.

    • File monthly state sales and use tax returns.

    • Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures.

    • Perform a combination of administrative, office management and bookkeeping functions

    • Apply payments to customer accounts

    • Review, approve and process supplier payments

    • Answer the main phone line

    • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.

    • Support timekeeping and payroll processing functions in conjunction with a third-party payroll processing service.

    • Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

    • Order office supplies as needed

    • Maintains A/R, A/P and cash deposit files

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA preferred.
