    Robert Half is seeking an Accountant to join a thriving, fast-paced company that recognizes talent and effort. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the South Jersey area, at a company where effort is rewarded. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes.     How you will make an impact

    • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions, updating census, completing journal entries.

    • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.

    • Maintain the fixed asset plant ledgers for all entities on a monthly basis that reconcile to the general ledger and have appropriate back-up support.

    • Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis by reconciling the bank balance to the cash balance on the general ledger and the cash log.

    Requirements

    The ideal Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

    Other requirements for the Accountant position include and are not limited to

    • 3+ years of experience in related work

    • Yardi experience preferred

    • Experience with accruals and prepaids

    • Success driven attitude, flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of special projects and new responsibilities

    • Ability to develop goals, establish priorities and meet deadlines
