Accounting Assistant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This role involves assisting with various accounting operations within a telecom provider, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the industry. This position will be a part time flexible opportunity, the perfect fit for someone in school looking to get real world, hands-on accounting experience in their spare time!

Responsibilities

• Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Utilizing various accounting software systems, including Microsoft Dynamics, to maintain accurate records and perform tasks efficiently.

• Assisting with the implementation and use of Microsoft Dynamics for accounting functions.

• Participating in the billing functions and managing cash activity.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites for various tasks.

• Collaborating with the team to resolve customer credit inquiries and monitor customer credit accounts.

• Taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Utilizing skills in ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC) in performing daily tasks.

• Gaining experience in accounting functions and utilizing it to contribute to the team's efficiency.

Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Understanding of Cash Activity procedures

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
