Accounting Clerk

Description Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for an esteemed company. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will be assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Everett, Washington area.

What you get to do every day

• Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

• Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers

• Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

• Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - Command of payroll

• Invoice experience

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

• 2+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with high volume data entry
