Accounting Clerk

Description

A company in Pacoima is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join the growing team. In this role, you will provide vital support to our accounting department by handling a variety of financial tasks. You will work closely with the Controller.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable invoices, including data entry, verification, and approval.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.

Assist with accounts receivable functions, such as sending invoices and tracking payments.

Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.

Prepare and issue checks for payment.

Assist with general ledger maintenance by entering data and ensuring accuracy.

File and organize financial documents and records.

Perform other clerical tasks as assigned!

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.

Accounting Degree strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting software, especially Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
