    ITW Global Brands is seeking a rising Junior or Senior for the Accounting Internship located in our Houston, TX office from mid May until beginning of August 2024. This internship will get a chance to learn the basics of Corporate Accounting including preparing and recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliation, costing, and accounts receivable. The position requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Assist in monthly close process

    • Prepare monthly journal entries and accounts reconciliations

    • Assist in performing standard cost updates for items

    • Inventory Management to ensure trial balance matches general ledger

    • Assist Accounts Receivable in research of customer deductions

    • Review Resale Certificates to ensure compliance

    • Review Record Retention documentation and discard any outdated records

    Expected Learnings:

    • Ability to book month end journal entries

    • Complete Account Reconciliations

    • Update standard cost for items

    • Ability to research and resolve inventory issues

    • Rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    • Understanding of basic accounting and financial concepts

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills in fast paced environment

    • Strong analytical skills
