Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description

A thriving company is working with Robert Half to find an Accounting Manager to help with the company expansion. As the Accounting Manager, you will be a crucial member of our finance team, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and HR functions. This position will play a pivotal role in steering our financial operations and will help build a team as the company grows.

Financial Management

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end financial close processes.

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.

• Own the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Manage HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws.

• Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement policies and procedures to support employee engagement and retention.

• Stay abreast of accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Proven experience (4+ years) producing financial statements

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

• Experience with private equity-backed companies and an understanding of their reporting expectations is ideal.

• HR management experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel.
