Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description

Our client, a well established, Worcester based company with more than 50 years in the community is experiencing exceptional growth and is looking for an Accounting Manager to help an already strong team.

The Accounting Manager will oversee a 6 person team and will be very hands on with all things related to the GL including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly reporting and the entire monthly close process.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including some supervisory experience as well.

Prior experience within a project based industry such as Engineering, Consulting, Construction or Consulting is ideal.

Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

• Well-founded grasp of Construction Accounting

• Accrual Accounting experience highly desired

• Monthly Close experience desired

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Foundational knowledge in project accounting

• Expertise in general ledger

• Proven knowledge of Cash Flow Reports

• Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

• Solid technical skills

• CPA/MBA preferred

• 7+ years of recent relevant financial experience

• Customer service oriented communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
