  • Description We are seeking a meticulous Credit Clerk to join our team in Cypress, California. This role is in the Accounting industry and involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

    • Maintain precise records of customer credit

    • Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

    • Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

    • Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

    • Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including deposits, collections, and account reconciliations

    • Serve as a backup for order processing, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customers' orders

    • Assist with accounts payable analysis of expenses and reporting

    • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records

    • Reconcile monthly bank statements and sales tax collection

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations

    • Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy in financial reporting

    • Assist with year-end audit preparation and provide support to auditors as needed

    • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by management Requirements - Proficiency in account reconciliation processes and procedures

    • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

    • Familiarity with billing systems and procedures

    • Demonstrated ability in data entry tasks with high level of accuracy

    • Knowledge of invoice processing and related accounting tasks

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including the use of advanced Excel formulas

    • Previous experience in an accounting clerk role or similar is preferred

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
