Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role is located in BALTIMORE, Maryland, 21202, and will involve a range of duties related to invoice processing, data entry, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Processing payments and entering related information into the payment system

• Reviewing utility accounting data and updating spreadsheets as necessary

• Regularly reviewing and updating customer credit applications and records

• Handling coding invoices and ensuring accurate data entry

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level for various tasks

• Ensuring all filing is done in an organized and timely manner

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Responding to and resolving customer credit inquiries

• Ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Proven ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently

• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on numeric data entry

• Experience in invoice processing and payment processing

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Demonstrated ability in filing and organizing documents systematically

• Must possess excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various departments and vendors

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
