Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

Robert Half is urgently seeking a Data Entry Clerk. Located in Spokane Valley, Washington, this will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support by tracking expenses from received payments, processing invoices, and issuing payments.

Key responsibilities

• Flags any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.

• Organizes invoices then sets up for payment and verifies check requests.

• Tracks expenses and processes expense reports.

• Prepares then processes electronic transfers and payments, check runs, etc.

• Posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records or systems.

• Reconciles accounts payable transactions.

• Arranges analysis of accounts and provides supporting documents as needed for audits.

• Monitors accounts to ensure payments are current and within payment term agreements.

• Examines invoice discrepancies and issues then determines solutions to resolve them while maintaining accuracy of accounts.

• Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries.

• Produces monthly reports, assists with month-end closing, and other department related tasks.

• Meets department goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• 1 years accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred but not required

• knowledge of general accounting procedures

• Proficient in data entry and account management
