  • Description

    This position will be supporting Accounts payable functions for this team that handles a very high volume of invoices per week. This person will work through vendor invoices, coding them and making sure they are moved into the right folder and categorized correctly. They will also work through a high volume of Purchase orders matching the data on the PO to make sure the data is accurate and aligned correctly to invoices. There will be a high attention to detail when it comes to organizing the various vendor invoices and making sure they are moved correctly. They will upload these documents and match them with PO's to ensure accuracy. They may touch up to 500 invoices a day. They will be working within Outlook a lot and the AP inbox, utilizing the software Doclink and Great Plains.

    You will be responsible for entering data into a system to generate payments. Also, research to find data on where to apply costs for invoices. Managing approvals of invoices and providing accurate responses to vendors.

    Functions

    • Entering invoices for payment using three methods

    • Verifying account numbers are accurate

    • Researching credit-memos

    • Cross reference items on an invoice to a corresponding purchase-order

    • Send invoices to project managers and branch managers for approvals using database

    • Answer calls from vendors

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    2+ years of experience working with invoices or Purchase orders from an AP standpoint. Basic microsoft office skills required.
