Our client located in the Northwest area of Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator. The Accounts Payable Coordinator must have 3+ years of full cycle AP in the homebuilding industry. The AP Coordinator will be responsible for full cycle AP, 1099's, Purchase Orders, Vendor Maintenance, and some Job Costing. This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 60K plus benefits working 100% in office.

Major responsibilities

• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

• Fullfill full-cycle A/P

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

• Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

• Carry out additional projects as required

Requirements - 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Form 1099 experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Purchase Orders experience preferred

• Job Cost experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

• Proven knowledge of Vendor Management

• General familiarity with Building industry

• Well-founded grasp of Construction Industry Experience

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
