The Accounts Payable Manager must be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to effectively support Accounting Operations function for government contractor.Reporting to Director of Accounting, the Accounts Payable Manager must be a self-starter, detailed oriented and be a team player to support the Accounts Payable function.Key Responsibilities+ Manage high volume accounts payable in a fast-paced environment+ Manage and develop a strong, performance-oriented accounts payable team, capable of actively and effectively engaging and growing with the business+ Lead accounts payable operations; Vendor invoice processing, Travel and expense report processing+ Ensure accurate and appropriate documentation (i.e. invoices, purchase order, receiver, receipts, packing slip, etc.) for approved invoices and archive information into accounting system+ Assist in selecting approved invoices/expense reports for payment based on terms and other prioritization criteria+ Assess and ensure segregation of duties where necessary to maintain internal controls+ Support the Purchase Requisition process. Participate in the development and company adherence to policy+ Oversee Accounts Payable activities to ensure compliance with GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards and internal accounting policies and procedures+ Assist Director of Accounting with assessing current Accounts Payable processing tool(s) and integrated systems for efficiency and accuracy of the Accounts Payable function+ Consistently follow designed business processes and related internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, integrity of corporate data, and safeguarding of assets+ Support and ensure timely completion of Accounts Payable team tasks related to the monthly closing process+ Prepare reports using spreadsheets, accounting software, or other business intelligence software as required+ Assist with accounting department correspondence for internal/external purposes+ Facilitate and ensure reporting of annual 1096 and 1099 forms filings to the IRS by due date+ Manage sales and use tax reporting requirements and tax filings+ Liaison with operational and infrastructure teams to provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers+ Support internal operational and compliance programs+ Assist in other research and reporting as it relates to accounts payableRequired Qualifications+ Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis preferred or 4 years of additional experience in lieu degree+ 5-7 plus years progressive experience in Accounting roles+ 3 years of large company Accounts Payable management experience required+ Government contracting experience required+ Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting+ Knowledge of CAS, FAR and experience with DCAA preferred+ Well versed with Costpoint/Deltek+ Strong knowledge of use of Concur preferredCandidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.Additional Minimum Qualifications+ Comfortable and confident in a fast-paced, high-energy business environment subject to rapid change+ Ability to juggle competing demands, prioritize, work with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines and consistently deliver on commitments+ Excellent communication service skills in dealing with both internal and external customers at all levelsPreferred Qualifications+ Concur experience+ CostPoint Experience+ Government Contracting ExperienceWe're on a mission to transform our country's healthcare system.Each of our 1,700+ colleagues across the United States plays a role in transforming the lives of millions of Americans.
