Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to for a client in Bellevue, WA. The Accounts Payable Specialist will maintain current accounts, assist in invoicing functions, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger. This is an in office job and is estimated to have a 3 month duration.

Job Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices and reconcile them with purchase orders and contracts.

• Manage the payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.

• Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.

• Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures and periodic financial audits.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and check run payments.

• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that supplier invoices match purchase order details.

• Maintain accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records.

• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role in finance or accounting.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.

• Proficient data entry skills and familiarity with accounting software programs.

• High level of accuracy and efficiency.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• Date-driven and highly organized.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
