Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to manage all aspects of accounts payable processes efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, preparing and processing payments, and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently

Review and reconcile vendor statements

Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer

Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments

Maintain vendor files and ensure accurate record-keeping

Assist with month-end closing processes as needed

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely approval and processing of invoices

Provide excellent customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable inquiries

Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
