Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Global healthcare leader is looking to staff an Accounts Payable Specialist with proven basic understanding of GAAP. The responsibilities for this role will consist of processing vendor invoices, verifying and updating vendor accounts, processing general ledger reconciliations, assisting with payment runs, ensure compliance with financial policies and GAAP, analyzing accounts payable transactions for accuracy, preparing documents for audits, and resolving accounts payable discrepancies. Ideally, we are seeking an individual who can perform day to day financial transactions utilizing their knowledge of best practices in accounting and bookkeeping.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review and post invoices

• Code general ledger activities

• Ensure compliance with all AP activities/transaction

• Prepare financial reports

• Track benefit billings

• Review and process expense reports

• Vendor Maintenance

• Prepare AMEX payments

• Assist with the month-end close process

• Reconcile account transactions

• Schedule Maintenance

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies

*** Hybrid 1 day onsite in Ft Washington***

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist role include and are not limited to

• 5+ years of A/P experience

• Intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)

• Familiarity with MineralTree, AMEX, and NetSuite

• Experience in international payments preferred
