Accounts Payable Specialist

Join the ranks of this successful Construction/Contractor/Manufacturing company as their new detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. Do you want to take your career to the next level? You might be the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk this dynamic organization with a growing team is looking for, if you can match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Medway, Massachusetts area.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

• Complete full-cycle A/P

• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Requirements

• Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Knowledge of Form 1099

• Practical knowledge of Electronic Payments

• General familiarity with Check Runs

• Wide ranging experience with 3 Way Matching

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Proficiency in IRS W-9 Forms

• Proven knowledge of Credit Card Payments

• Credit Card Charges experience

• Quality experience with manufacturing

• Foundational knowledge in Company Credit Card

• Well-founded grasp of Credit Card Reconciliation

• 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
