Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Robert Half has an outstanding opportunity for a short-term contract / contract to hire (A/P) Specialist to join the team at a premier company. Serving as the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. Located in South Orlando, Florida, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be a short-term contract / temporary position.

Key responsibilities

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Provide customer service to internal business partners

• Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Implement full-cycle A/P

• Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

Requirements

• Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Form 1099

• Strong familiarity with Enter Vendor Invoices

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
