Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half has a great opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional at a growing company. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Cary, North Carolina area.

Responsibilities

• Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization

• Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment

• Corroborate documents and codes

• Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

• Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

• Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

• Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders

• Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans Requirements

• Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

• 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

• Demonstrated knowledge of Coordinate Travel Arrangements

• Experience with customer service

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Collections experience preferred

• Collections experience

• Adeptness in Credit Card Charges

• Billing experience preferred

• Quickbooks Online experience preferred
