Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role primarily focuses on processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage customer credit applications efficiently and accurately

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Handle and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts closely and identify any irregularities

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, Microsoft Excel, and MRI to perform tasks

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall company goals

• Continuously improve knowledge and skills in the field to increase efficiency and productivity

• Provide excellent customer service to maintain a positive company image. Requirements - Proven experience in a similar role, specifically as an Accounts Receivable Clerk

• Strong skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, and Commercial Collections

• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel at a high level

• Familiarity with MRI software

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High level of integrity and professionalism.
