Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Service industry located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves managing cash application and deduction follow up and working with portals to address shortages. This position will be assisting our team in dealing with invoices, cash application journals, and deduction follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash applications involving multiple customers and invoices

• Follow up on billing issues, credits, and deductions to ensure accurate accounts

• Use various accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and perform accounts receivable functions

• Work with large-scale customers, navigating through the portals for each account

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites to organize and analyze data

• Follow up on aged receivables and short pays as part of collections duties

• Handle scanning tasks including invoices and cash application journals

Note: The selected candidate will be expected to handle a steady volume of work and have the ability to handle complex invoices and large customers.

Requirements

• Must have proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, for example Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, NetSuite, etc

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites is needed

• Should have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Knowledge of Billing Functions is required

• Familiarity with Aged Receivables is beneficial
