    Job Description:

    Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Administrative Assistant to support our Construction and Engineering Inspection Teams working on Florida DOT construction projects that positively impact your community!

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Ready to put your assistant and clerical skills to work with teams that change the landscape of our community? Would you enjoy assisting top level construction engineers and managers helping to keep projects running on task?

    Parsons is now hiring an Assistant Contract Support Specialist to support our Construction Engineering and Inspection Teams working on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) construction projects. Parsons extensive experience combined with your attention to detail and willingness to work hard will propel your career forward. There is room for career growth in this role with our organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reviews and organizes project related documents and invoices to support processing payment.

    • Processes construction contract changes (change orders, work orders or supplemental agreements).

    • Assists with EEO compliance, Labor compliance type programs.

    • Attends meetings and develops minutes for distribution.

    • Receives and originates correspondence and other type reports for review and distribution.

    • Gathers data, reviews and combines information into established reports for distribution and/or other databases.

    • Establishes and maintains records of training, equipment, vehicles, etc. including logs for service/renewals.

    • Exercises independent initiative to help relieve supervisors of clerical detail.

    • Performs other office related duties as may be appropriate.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 years of relevant work experience.

    • For candidates with Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degrees, no prior experience is required.

    • Ability to become qualified in FDOT's CTQP Final Estimates Level 1 and 2 certifications upon hire.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction management office environment.

    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

    • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing assignments in a timely manner.

    Salary Range

    $14.66 - $24.95
