    Job Description:

    GDIT's Military Health Team is hiring Administrative Assistant, with current or prior Department of Defense (DoD) required, to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) in Bethesda, MD.

    • Anticipated work Schedule- Full-time- Monday - Friday, on-site, 7:30- 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch.

    • Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

    MISSION:

    NICoE improves the lives of service members with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other invisible wounds of war through excellence in interdisciplinary TBI clinical care, research, and education. NICoE is the headquarters of the 13-site Defense Intrepid Network for TBI and Brain Health.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    • Support the planning, development, and coordination of a variety of management/ administrative functions, in areas such as personnel, budget, administration, and program management.

    • Research documents, forms and associated reporting systems and procedures to aid in the implementation of new systems and necessary administrative updates.

    • Provides training and support to multiple departments and divisions of the MTF workforce regarding the process of updating the organizational policies and procedures.

    • Collaborates with multiple agencies to ensure legal sufficiency within instructions. Assists in resolving critical conflicts within the facility by providing the appropriate policies to ensure compliance throughout the organization.

    • Develop, implement and evaluate administrative techniques to facilitate the forms and issuances/instructions management process.

    • Assist principal human resource liaison with civilian personnel matters.

    • Assists staff with the Defense Travel System (DTS).

    • Aid administrative leadership in implementation of issuances/instructions and forms management programs.

    • Utilize a variety of automated systems such as AUTONOA, Timekeeping, and Civilian Personnel Data System to perform administrative functions .

    • Support the management and maintenance of key organizational data, rosters, and taskers.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (required):

    • Bachelor's degree in management, administration, business or related.

    • 3+ years of relevant DoD administrative experience.

    • Skilled in verbal and written communication.

    • Ability to draft, edit, review DoD correspondence in support of operations.

    • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

    • Ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal leadership oversight - well organized, self-motivated, and disciplined.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1, public trust prior to start date.
