The Physician Assistant Program is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join their team on a part-time basis. In this Administrative Coordinator role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting the program's staff and faculty across various functional areas, with a focus on assisting during the peak admissions season.     Schedule: Variable, 20-30 hours per week - may increase or decrease based on workload, no less than 20 hrs per week. Schedule is negotiable, but preference will be given to those who can commit to a M-F work week, approximately 4-5 hrs per day, negotiable between 8 am - 5 pm.

    Job Description

    This position will provide administrative support to the staff and faculty in the Physician Assistant Program across all functional areas: Admissions, Academic Year, Clinical Year, and general program support, concentrating on support for Admissions during the peak season.

    Duties may include

    • Assist with Admissions application review, new student onboarding, and orientation process.

    • Proctoring examinations, filing, scanning, database entry, answering phones, typing, mail merges, email communication.

    • Photocopying, mail sorting/delivery, scheduling, event planning, updating and generating reports, running errands on campus, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • Four years of general office or secretarial experience OR An Associate's degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two years of general office or secretarial experience OR A Bachelor's degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience OR An equivalent combination of training and experience. Note: Successful completion of a formal OHSU Administrative Internship Program will substitute for one year of experience.

    • Motivated individual who learns quickly and is able to work in a team-oriented environment.

    • Ability to handle confidential material, problem-solve, excellent verbal and written communication.

    • Good decision-making skills, computer proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

    • Excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize workload.

    • Good work ethic, ability to follow instructions, prioritize, and stay organized.
