    Schedule: FT / Shift : Day ( Monday - Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-3:00pm)

    The role you'll contribute:

    The Admissions Specialist conducts the cultivation, evaluation, and admissions processes for students at AHU. The Admissions Specialist makes sure these processes run smoothly and efficiently for leads, applicants, current students, department chairs, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. The Admissions Specialist is charged with upholding policy and procedure set by the Admissions Department, University, and its committees. The Admissions Specialist actively exemplifies outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    • Responsible for efficient execution of the cultivation, evaluation, and admissions processes for students at AHU

    • Own and document the communication process (email, text, phone) in the CRM for lead, applicant, and admission cultivation, using best practices for the frequency, accuracy, and tone of information shared

    • Collaborate with the Data Processing Specialists to ensure timely turnaround of document processing to complete applicant files

    • Coordinate with the Student Experience Managers to ensure a smooth transition for accepted students

    • Regularly reports to the Director of Admissions on the status of meeting established benchmarks and KPIs

    • Collaborate with the Financial Services, Student Experience, and the Office of the Registrar teams to ensure a smooth student journey

    International Student Responsibilities (if applicable)

    • Support the day-to-day compliance of international students

    • Recommend or assist in the development of policies and procedures governing the F-1 and J-1 international students

    • May serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), maintaining the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and all related certification requirements

    • Organize SEVIS data processing under the guidelines provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and maintains data and quality control management

    • Issue I-20s (Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant F-1 Student Status) and DS-2019s (Certificate of Eligibility for J-1 Exchange Visitor Status) for students

    • Support implementation, maintenance, and procedures for accurate and timely reporting to comply with immigration regulations and SEVIS reporting requirements

    • Liaise with various college departments and government agencies, including but not limited to the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Department of State

    Qualifications

    • The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

    • Associate Degree in Business, Psychology, or other related field

    • ·Must possess a general knowledge of the higher education admissions processes and customer service and communication strategies Education AND EXPERIENCE Preferred :

    • Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education or related field

    • One or more years of higher education admissions experience
