  • Our client is looking for a Bilingual Intake S pecialist to join their team on a contract basis.

    As an intake specialist, you will be answering phone calls, emails and chat messages from our clients that are traveling outside of Canada. You will be the first point of contact for medical and non-medical assistance before assigning the case to a Case Coordinator. You will be responsible for helping clients find health care providers, book appointments, make travel arrangements and be responsible for communicating the available benefits to members, clients and service providers.

    Hours

    Training 9-5 Mon-Friday 7 day, 24/7 shifts some self-scheduling available, 1 month notice, 1-2 month schedule

    Protect B Clearance

    All candidates must apply for Protect B/Reliability security clearance once offer is accepted. This clearance allows for contractors to access/adjudicate MSH's federal clients. The clearance covers you for 10 years and is a great added value to your resume as it can open more doors to roles in the government/insurance industry in the future.

    Responsibilities

    • Answer all initial calls, emails, faxes, and correspondence

    • Provide assistance services to traveling members such as taxi, ambulance, hotel, and medical bookings, etc.

    • Communicate with service providers around the world (request documentation, reports, invoices, etc.)

    • Update clients on the progress of assistance provided to their members.

    • Assist members with their return home, when necessary.

    • Coordinate with various service providers.

    • Communicate relevant information to all key stakeholders promptly (clients, medical facilities, patients, families, etc.) and triage cases as per departmental policy to achieve the best solutions.

    • Use the case management database to accurately input all case details, actions taken, and next steps.

    • Act as the link between policyholders and family members medical and service providers and the insurance company.

    • Review and interpret benefits plans.

    • Confirm insurance coverage details to service providers and members.

    Must Have Qualifications

    1) Bilingual English/French Verbal and Written

    2) Must be permanent residents of Canada (no work permit) and lived in Canada for the past 5 years consecutively without a gap of longer than 6 months in order to be eligible for Protect B/reliability clearance

    3) Min 1 year of call centre experience

    4) High School Degree
