Billing Clerk

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing Clerk to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As a Billing Clerk, you will be primarily responsible for submitting claims, posting payments, and handling the credentialing process for providers. This role will require proficiency in accounting software systems, Microsoft Excel, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Submitting and processing claims in a timely and accurate manner

• Posting customer payments and managing billing functions

• Identifying and addressing claim denials and resolving issues promptly

• Carrying out in-office responsibilities including mail management and check handling

• Managing credentialing processes for medical and therapy visit providers

• Ensuring new hires or practitioners have the necessary credentials to practice

• Utilizing accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data

• Providing exceptional customer service and addressing customer inquiries related to credit applications and records

• Keeping up-to-date with medical billing practices and provider credentialing processes

• Handling claim administration tasks and dealing with medical claims and claim denials effectively. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must.

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel required.

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential.

• Previous experience in Claim Administration strongly preferred.

• Strong Customer Service skills are required.

• Experience in Medical Billing is a plus.

• Knowledge of Provider Credentialing is desirable.

• Experience in handling Medical Claims is a strong advantage.

• Ability to handle Claim Denials effectively.
