Bookkeeper

Description

Responsibilities in this role include

• Responsible for all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes

• Generate purchase orders, code, and enter vendor expense invoices.

• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

• Create and reconcile accounts receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, prepare and record bank deposits.

• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.

• Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and performing periodic audits.

• Maintain accurate financial records, oversee & manage general ledger entries.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.

• Process employee time sheets and payroll.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns.

• Generate financial reports for management review.

• Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in software including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and human resources roles.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
